HEY THERE!
We’re New Star Games, a small but experienced development team with a track record of high-quality titles across many platforms over many years. We’ve had a string of successes on mobile and Switch with the New Star and Retro games, and the sensational Retro Bowl being the #1 app on the US App Store.
Our team boasts the super-talented Simon Read, the man behind the original New Star Soccer, and a collection of industry veterans who’ve worked at major studios on titles such as the Worms series (Team17), Lemmings (Team17), Call of Duty: Strike Team (Activision), Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar), and the Grand Theft Auto series (Rockstar).
We mostly develop retro sports-RPG games in which fun, simplicity, and surprising depth is the focus.

17 July 2025: New Star Games in the News Part Two! GAMERANT included Retro Bowl in their article "8 Best American Football Video Games Ever, Ranked" with the following overview:
"Who says football games have to be complicated? Retro Bowl brought the genre back to basics: quick offense-only drives, pixelated visuals, and a pick-up-and-play philosophy that’s as addictive on a phone as it is on the Switch. The game lets players manage every detail of their franchise, from drafts to egos, while keeping the gameplay loop fast, satisfying, and endlessly replayable.
It’s impressive how the game delivered franchise depth without endless menus. Star players are tracked and developed, contracts keep you strategizing, and the lack of a defensive mode ensures every possession is high-stakes, high-scoring fun."
Given how popular the game's been since release, perhaps there's not that many people who haven't played it yet, but if you haven't, it's never too late to give it a try, just follow the link below:
